Alba Sotorra
Producer of ‘Rock Bottom’
Director and producer, she founded her own production company in 2015, specializing in animation, fiction, and documentaries. Her films promote diverse, non-hegemonic voices, exploring contemporary social and political issues in depth. They have been selected for prestigious festivals such as Berlinale, Annecy, Tallinn, and SXSW, and have been recognized with Emmy Awards, Independent Spirit Awards, and Broadcast Digital Awards.
Albert de la Torre
Co-director of ‘Zeleste: El record de tantes ocasions’
Born in Barcelona in 1965, he has been a theater critic, author of essays on theater and dance, and a professor of scriptwriting, cultural management, and audiovisual production. Since 2004, he has focused on producing shows and audiovisual content. He has premiered the documentaries ‘Ernest Lluch. Memòria viva’, ‘De cap a peus’, ‘Pavlovsky’, and ‘Jango Edwards. L’home, el mite i la llegenda’ (co-produced by El Terrat, with the collaboration of 3Cat and Filmin). His latest work, ‘Zeleste. El record de tantes ocasions’, has been co-produced by Xarxa de Comunicació Local and RTVE.
Alberto Ortega
Co-director of Waldo
He studied cinematography at the TAI School in Madrid. With wide experience in advertising, in 2017 he co-founded the production company Dada Films & Entertainment SL with Charlie Arnaiz, creating content for RTVE. In 2021, they were nominated for a Goya Award for the documentary Anatomía de un Dandy, about writer Paco Umbral. In 2022, they released the doc series Raphaelismo, about singer Raphael. In 2023, he premiered the fiction short film El Reemplazo. His other documentary productions include the series Supergarcía, the 20th anniversary film of David Bisbal, the Lola Indigo film GRX, and the true-crime series El Rey del Cachopo.

Following his debut album "Tiene que haber algo más" (2021) and the EP "Boicot" (2023), he's released his second album, "Conducción Temeraria," this year, further exploring his unique blend of pop, rock, and electronic music.

Blanca Torres
Director of Marisol, llámame Pepa
She holds a degree in Hispanic Philology and a diploma in Film and TV Screenwriting. She has worked as a screenwriter and editor for reports and documentaries, both in Spain and Argentina. As a feature film screenwriter, she has collaborated on films like Amateurs, followed by Ärtico, Iceberg, and Zaniki, also as an editor. In 2016, she made her directorial debut with the mockumentary Análisis de Sangre Azul. Marisol, llámame Pepa is her second project as a director. Recently, she was selected for the 2024-2025 Film Academy Residency with the fiction project Cecilia y el lobo.
César Martínez Herrada
Director and screenwriter of Generación Lagartija
He has directed the fiction feature films Manos de Seda, Cuando todo esté en orden, and Arena en los bolsillos, as well as the TV films Otra Ciudad and Para que nadie olvide tu nombre. In the field of music documentaries, he has directed and written Chapa Discos, Ruibal, por libre, La importancia de llamarse Ernesto y la gilipollez de llamarse Eric (In-Edit 2023), and now presents Generación Lagartija, about the connection between the Granada rock band Lagartija Nick and the literary "Generation of '27."
Charlie Arnaiz
Co-director of 'Waldo'
Holding a degree in Hispanic Philology, he entered the audiovisual industry in 2008. Alongside Alberto Ortega, he released the documentary "Aunque tú no lo sepas. La poesía de Luis García Montero" in 2016 and, in 2017, they founded the production company Dada Films & Entertainment, through which they released documentaries about Labordeta, Ramoncín, and Alejandro Sanz. In 2021, he was nominated for a Goya Award for "Anatomía de un Dandy," about the writer Francisco Umbral. Later he has co-directed the documentary series "Raphaelismo" and "Supergarcía," the 20th-anniversary film of David Bisbal, the Lola Indigo documentary "GRX," and the true-crime series "El Rey del Cachopo".
Cora Novoa

Galician producer, DJ, creative director, and researcher based in Barcelona, working at the intersection of art and technology. She has performed her AV Live Shows at festivals such as Sónar BCN, Tate-Modern Museum, Fabric London, and Mutek Montreal, and combines her artistic career with her role as an official Ableton trainer, music content curator, teaching music industry or creativity classes, and creative director of her own record label, Seeking the Velvet. She is also an artist on the Canadian label Turbo Recordings, owned by Tiga, and on the French label Citizen Records, founded by the electronic producer Vitalic.
D’Nash
Protagonists of 'Prohibido ganar Eurovisión'
D'Nash was a Spanish pop group formed in 2005. The quartet made their debut with the album "Capaz de todo", which was a national success, but they gained fame primarily for their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 when they represented Spain with the song "I Love You Mi Vida". Their subsequent albums "Todo va a cambiar" and "Garabatos" were the last of their meteoric and tortuous career. Their experience at Eurovision is the subject of the documentary presented at In-Edit 2024.
Danny L Harle
Co-protagonist of ‘Music Makers’ (In-Edit Lab)
Danny L Harle is a British music producer and composer, most recently serving as co writer/producer on Dua Lipa’s latest album, ‘Radical Optimism’. He has written and produced for artists such as Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek, Clairo, Rina Sawayama, and Lil Uzi Vert. He has remixed Ed Sheeran, Perfume Genius, 100 Gecs and more. He’s also a founding member of the London-based PC Music collective and released his singles ‘Broken Flowers’ (which was subsequently A-listed by BBC Radio 1, and topped the UK Club Chart) and ‘Super Natural’ featuring Carly Rae Jepsen through a joint venture between PC Music and Columbia.
David Camarero
Director of 'La Joia: Bad Gyal'
Born in Castellón in 1991, he began his career in editing and post-production, and in 2016 he directed cultural programs for BTV. Since 2018, he has been part of Vampire Films' roster of directors, where he has worked with Bad Gyal, Amaia, Lola Indigo, La Mala Rodríguez, and Primavera Sound festival. In parallel, he founded 'El Bloque', the leading online program of the Spanish urban music scene. He is co-founder of V.E.T.A., a post-production, AI, and new audiovisual narratives company, with which he has taken on the creative direction of "Sistema Solar" for 3Cat. Diego de Walpurgis
Director of 'Blackcelona: una historia de metal satánico'
He started in documentary filmmaking by collaborating on "La sonrisa del lobo" (Javier Perea, 2008), about actor Paul Naschy. Subsequently, he made the leap to directing with films about Spanish fantasy cinema: "Los perversos rostros de Víctor Israel" (2010) and "Herederos de la Bestia'" (2016), both co-directed. As a solo director, he has made the short films "Jack Taylor, testigo del fantástico" (2018) and "La Dama del Fantaterror" (2020). In 2022 he premiered "[REC] Terror sin pausa", about the first installment of the saga directed by Paco Plaza and Jaume Balagueró, and nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the Forqué Awards.
Domenec Miralles
Co-director of 'f. (el regreso de la filoxera)'
majin don patch is the collective formed by Domenec Miralles and Pol Crosas, who have been exploring non-creative production and post-internet culture for years. Recently, they have begun collaborating on the production of pieces with AI and 3D. The collective works between London, San Sebastián, and Barcelona and has been operating since the 2020 lockdown.
Estopa
The duo from Cornellà (Barcelona) formed by brothers José and David Muñoz is celebrating 25 years of career since that self-titled album with rumba hits like 'La raja de tu falda', 'El del medio de Los Chichos' or 'Como Camarón', which are part of the history of Spanish popular music. After selling five million records, they have celebrated with the release of a new album, "Estopía", and a tour that has sold out everywhere, including the Madrid Metropolitano and the Barcelona Olímpic Stadium, with over 100,000 spectators between both concerts.

Estrella Araiza Briseño
General Director of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG),
largest film event in Latin America. She has also presided over the GuadaLAjara Film Festival (GLAFF) in Los Angeles and has added experience as Director of Industry and Market of the FICG, sales agent, academic, and film distributor in the Mexican territory. Within the industry, she has implemented programs such as Inclusive Industry, focused on people with disabilities, and The Beginning of the Film, to bring writers, screenwriters, and publishers closer to the film industry.
Fabien Pasani
Director of “En la caliente: Tales of a Reggaeton Warrior”
Born in Havana, Cuba, for the past 20 years he has been working as a producer and director of events, music records, institutional and branded content, TV and films.
In 2011 he developed and produced ‘7 Days in Havana’, which premiered at Cannes (Official Selection - Un Certain Regard, 2012) and San Sebastian. He is currently in post-production of a feature documentary on the Cuban singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés. In addition to his work in film, Pisani has dedicated himself to a series of endeavors in Cuba related to the promotion of its cultural capital and creative economy. He is the founder of Musicabana International Music Festival.
Fernando González “Gonzo”

Vigo, 1976. Co-director of the Salvados program on La Sexta TV. He began his career at RTVE Galicia as a writer and in 2005 started his career as a reporter on CQC, from which he left to host 'El método Gonzo'. Since 2008, he has been a reporter for El Intermedio, A caixa negra, and at Atresmedia he has directed and presented the specials ‘Sanz Briz, el ángel de Budapest’, ‘Operación Caídos: la obsesión de Franco’, ‘Expediente Palomares’ y ‘Detrás del muro’. He is the author of the books ‘Todo por mi país’ and ‘Mis fronteras’, and has also worked on radio.
Gary Hustwit
Director of ‘Eno’
Filmmaker, producer, and visual artist based in New York. He has produced over 20 documentaries and films, including I Am Trying To Break Your Heart (Wilco), Oddsac (Animal Collective), and Mavis! (Mavis Staples). He worked with the legendary punk record label SST Records and has an extensive background as an independent book publisher (Incommunicado Press) and DVD distributor (Plexifilm). In 2007, he made his directorial debut with Helvetica, a documentary about graphic design and typography, and has continued exploring how design affects our daily lives with Objectified (2009), Urbanized (2011), Workplace (2016), and Rams (2018).
George Gachot
Director de ‘Mist: The Erroll Garner Story’
Georges Gachot is a French and Swiss filmmaker. He studied piano and musicology before directing several documentaries on musicians, composers and performers, such as Martha Argerich, Evening Talks (2002) and his quadrilogy on Brazilian music: Maria Bethania, Musica é Perfume (2005), Rio Sonata (2010) and O Samba (2014). With Where Are You, Joao Gilberto? (2018) he developed a new narrative form, in between fiction and documentary. Misty is his 6th feature film.

Born in Girona in 1976. He studied medicine and specialized in family and community medicine. He began his creative journey through painting, holding exhibitions and producing various works from a self-taught perspective. Painting, animation, printmaking, audiovisual work, ceramics, and illustration form the creative core of his artistic work.
Jordi Call
Director of ‘Carles Sabater: No espereu res de mi’
Jordi Call directs and produces TV programs, documentaries, and non-fiction series. In 2023, he directed the non-fiction series ‘Núñez’ for 3Cat. A year earlier, he directed two other biographical documentaries: ‘Més enllà de la Cubana’ and ‘L’empremta de Joan Fuster’. Between 2017 and 2020, he co-directed the non-fiction series ‘Six Dreams’ (Amazon Prime Video) about professionals in the Spanish football league. He worked as a producer for the programs ‘Salvados’ (La Sexta) and ‘Quatre Gats’ (TV3). Among his early films are ‘Costaleros’ (2002) and two music docs: ‘Connexió Argan’ and ‘Terra d’Esperança’. José Sánchez Montes
Director of ‘Zambra’
Filmmaker and producer of fiction feature films, documentaries, and television since 1984. His work as a director includes notable musical documentaries such as Omega (2016, Goya nominee), Morente sueña la Alhambra, Martirio, Tiempo de Leyenda, and Bola de Nieve, among others. As a producer, he collaborated on fiction films like La Isla Mínima (which won 10 Goya awards and an EFA award). He served as the director of the Granada International Film Festival, Cines del Sur, for 13 years and responsible for Ático Siete, Sacromonte Films, and Siesta Producciones.
Josep Pitarch
Director of ‘ZOO: Sobreviure a l’incendi’
Director and film and TV editor with an extensive career in the industry and in the production of documentaries and feature films. He has held various roles at media companies such as La Taca Produccions, Gamma TV, and À Punt Mèdia, and has taught at prestigious universities and institutes. Some of his most notable works include Més Enllà del Mur: Cançons Contra l'Apartheid and Sempre al Tall. He was a founding member of the Valencian rock band Obrint Pas.
Julia Girós
Co-director of “Inania”
Documentary filmmaker, photographer, and VJ. She studied documentary filmmaking at ESCAC and the London Film Academy. In 2015, she lived in Sahrawi camps, where she taught film classes and co-directed 'The Time After the Rain' (winner of the Golluts 2022 award and selected for MiradasDoc and the Krakow Film Festival 2023). Her filmography also includes the documentary short film 'Ayiti Cheri' (filmed in Haiti) and the co-direction of 'La Pasión según Pep Amores'. Founder of the documentary art collective Mambo Project.
Julien Temple
In-Edit Lab Masterclass
A living legend of musical documentary, London-born filmmaker Julien Temple has directed documentaries on the Sex Pistols, The Clash, Marvin Gaye, The Rolling Stones, and Wilco Johnson, as well as music videos for David Bowie, Neil Young, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Blur, Judas Priest, The Kinks, to name just a few. As part of the In-Edit Lab activities, he will offer a masterclass on “Editing Archival Footage for Music Documentaries,” a visual and narrative technique in which he is a true master.
Kai Landre
Protagonist of 'Cyborg Generation'
A 24-year-old cyborg artist from Barcelona. Their cyborg sense, the Cosmic Sense, was unveiled at Princeton University's annual Envision conference. It consists of a device that captures cosmic ray particles in our atmosphere and translates them into sound. He works in music, technology, audiovisual arts, and education. Their album "human" revolves around their personal transition to a cyborg identity. He has performed his live show at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, and Razzmatazz, Soho House, Loom Festival, and BAM 2021 in Barcelona.
Lagartija Nick
Protagonists of 'Generación Lagartija'
The trio of musicians who came together in 1989 to record a demo with Lagartija Nick’s first songs—Antonio Arias, Ernesto "Eric" Jiménez, and Juan Codorniú—will perform a small-format concert after the screening of Generación Lagartija. The film explores the influence of 20th-century avant-garde movements throughout the 35-year career of the Granada-based band, during which they have fused rock, electronic, metal, and flamenco, with key works in the mid-90s such as Omega (with Enrique Morente) or Val del Omar.
Los Negativos
Protagonists of ‘Los Negativos: Graduados en underground’
The Barcelona-based group Los Negativos is a cult band in Spanish psychedelic pop, and they led the emerging "sixties" and mod scene in the mid-1980s with their album Piknik Caleidoscópico (1986). For the premiere of the documentary about their history, we will have the presence of two founding members of the band, Carles Estrada (vocals, bass) and Robert Grima (guitar), as well as their manager and longtime collaborator Fernando Campillo (also a co-producer of the documentary).
Marcos Cabotá Samper
Director of "Prohibido ganar Eurovisión"
A 43-year-old from Mallorca graduated from the NY Film Academy, he is the director and screenwriter of films such as "Amigos" and "I Am Your Father." He is responsible for 7 feature films and 3 short films that have earned him over a hundred national and international awards, including two Gold Biznagas at the Málaga Film Festival and two nominations for the Goya Awards. His film "Sonic Fantasy" (about Michael Jackson's "Thriller" producer, Bruce Swedien) was presented at In-Edit 2022 and has won the awards for Best Film and Best Director at the International Film Festival of Cuba.
Maria Trenor Colomer
Director of ‘Rock Bottom’
Animation director, with a Fine Arts degree and a teaching position at the Valencia School of Art and Design. She has directed and produced the short films "Con qué la lavaré" (2003), "Ex-Libris" (2009), and "¿Dónde estabas tú?" (2020), which have premiered at festivals such as Sundance and Annecy and have received both national and international awards, including the Teddy Bear Award for Best Short Film at the Berlinale. She has also been nominated for Goya Awards. Her first feature-length animated film, 'Rock Bottom', based on the work of musician Robert Wyatt, had its world premiere in the official competition of Annecy 2024 .
Mark Warmington
Director of ‘Harder than the Rock’
Mark Warmington is a British/Irish documentary filmmaker. With a background as an experienced cinematographer and a love of music, Mark started making Harder Than The Rock in 2020. The film is set for UK theatrical release in October 2024 and will be his debut feature as a director. Mark is a longtime fan of reggae music and a terrible drummer.
Maxime Lachaud
Co-director of “A Way To Die: The Films of Peter Christopherson and John Balance”
Journalist, essayist, filmmaker, and programmer, Lachaud immersed himself in the fringes of cinema, music, and literature early on. He enjoys exploring the history of the seventh art from original angles, shedding light on its most marginal genres: Mondo movies, redneck films, or hypnagogic cinema. He is also the author of a comprehensive book on American writer Harry Crews. In his films -notably Texas Trip: A Carnival of Ghosts and A Way To Die- he enjoys revisiting the ruins of bygone eras while taking a dive deep into fascinating underground scenes.
Miguel Morillo Vega
Director of ‘Cyborg Generation’
Miguel Moruillo graduated from ESCAC in Barcelona and has since worked, among other projects, as an acting director in "La última virgen" (2017, Barbara Farré), which won the Best Short Film awards at the Málaga Film Festival and the Catalan Gaudí Awards. Miguel has developed and produced ‘Cyborg Generation’, about the Barcelona-based cyborg artist Kai Landre, over the past 5 years. This documentary is his first feature film.
Niloufar Taghizadeh
Director of ‘Googoosh: Made of Fire’
Born in Iran in 1978, she started working in the film industry at a young age. In 1996, she moved to Germany to study film directing at the Athanor Academy. Throughout her career, she has worked on numerous international projects as a screenwriter, director, and producer in collaboration with Arte and ZDF. In 2019, she founded "Windcatcher-Productions" focusing on biographies and human rights issues, especially women's and children's rights.
Oliver Murray
Director de ‘They All Came Out to Montreux’
Oliver works as a multi-disciplined filmmaker creating feature films, TV, music videos and commercials. He specialises in documentary style storytelling and has collaborated with The Rolling Stones, Quincy Jones and The Beatles. He has also created advertising campaigns for Red Bull, Microsoft, Universal Music, Braun and Visa Card. His work has been broadcast on the BBC, Channel 4, Hulu, HBO Max, PBS, Amazon and Disney+ and been recognised for BAFTA, BIFA, FOCAL and Rose D’Or awards. He resides in the Hertfordshire countryside north of London, UK.
Pablo Gil Rituerto
Director of ‘La Marsellesa de los borrachos’
Born in Madrid in 1983. After graduating in Audiovisual Communication and obtaining a diploma in editing and post-production, he moved to Barcelona in 2008 to complete a Master's degree in Creative Documentary at UPF. For the past 15 years, he has dedicated himself to film editing, working for filmmakers such as José Luis Guerín (La dama de Corinto, Recuerdos de una mañana), Mercedes Álvarez (Mercado de futuros), Isaki Lacuesta (Apagón), and Marc Recha (Centaures de la nit), among others. ‘The Drunkmen's Marseillaise’ is his first feature film as director.
Pedro G. Romero
Director of ‘de caballos y guitarras’
2024 Spain’s National Visual Arts Award winner. Born in Aracena, Huelva, in 1964. Researcher, curator, filmmaker, and editor, he has been working as an artist since 1985. Since the late 1990s, he has promoted the Independent Platform for Modern and Contemporary Flamenco Studies, aiming to broaden the field of flamenco studies using tools from aesthetics, art history, visual studies, anthropology, and sociology. He has previously presented at In-Edit two brilliant documentaries co-directed with Gonzalo García Pelayo: Nueve Sevillas and Siete Jereles.
Pol Crosas

Reivaks Timeless
Co-director of ‘A Way To Die: The Films of Peter Christopherson and John Balance’
Xavier Laradji (aka Reivaks Timeless) is a publisher based in Toulouse. In 1997 he launched the fanzine Timeless. After 6 DIY issues, he upgraded to the book format. Part of his publications focus on experimental musicians who have developed a recognizable and high-quality visual language (Zorin, Val Denham, Peter Christopherson, John Balance...). In 2024, he ventures into a completely new medium by publishing a cinematic work from two major artists in his collection: the members of post-industrial cult band Coil.
Sílvia Pairó Vila
Executive co-producer of 'Carles Sabater: No espereu res de mi'
Executive producer of documentaries and reports at 3Cat. She has notably participated in projects such as 'La Fugida' (about the victims of abuse linked to Jesuit schools), 'Balandrau l'infern glaçat,' and 'Mentre siguis tu, l'aquí i ara de Carme Elias' (winner of the Gaudí and Goya awards for Best Documentary). With a degree in Audiovisual Communication and Humanities, she has worked in the news services of TV3 since 2001 and is currently the executive producer of programs such as '30 minuts,' 'Sense ficció,' and the documentary co-productions.
Supersubmarina
Protagonists of 'Supersubmarina: Cien maneras de volver'
An indie-rock band founded in Baeza (Jaén) in 2005. After releasing their first two EPs, they launched their debut album "Electroviral" in 2010, marking the beginning of a successful career, continued with the EP "Realimentación" and the LPs "Santacruz" (2012) and "Viento de cara" (2014). Recently, they achieved #1 in sales in Spain with the remastering of the demos of their early hits on the occasion of the publication of the book “Algo que sirva como luz”, which recounts their experiences following the tragic accident that cut their career short in 2016.
Toni Sánchez “Panxo”
Protagonist of “Sobreviure a l’incendi: El documental de ZOO”
After passing through bands like Riot Propaganda, Sophie Zoo, and Orxata Sound System, this Valencian singer and composer formed ZOO in 2014. Over 10 years, with his blend of rock, ska, and hip hop, they became the most relevant Valencian group, touring Europe, Japan, Palestine, and all of Spain, singing in Valencian. Last January, they announced their dissolution. The farewell tour culminated in his city, Gandía, before a crowd of 15,000 people. Recently, "Panxo" has rejoined the hip hop group Rawpublik (alongside Toni Mejías of Los Chikos del Maíz).
Vera Herrero
Co-director of ‘Inania’
Graduated in Philosophy and Journalism, specializing in early Christianity. Passionate about Romanesque art and the rural heritage of Castilla y León and the so-called “empty Spain.” In 2019, she premiered her first feature documentary “Aún se bendicen los campos” at the Seminci in Valladolid, focusing on abandoned villages in Soria,selected by the L.A. Experimental Film Festival. Last year, she released “Tierra de amapolas,” a short film about women entrepreneurs in depopulated areas of Soria. On social media, she showcases the treasures of endangered rural heritage through Bellas Dormidas.
Verónica Font
Director of "UN, DOS..."
Sound technician with experience in over 40 film productions (both fiction and documentary). Her curiosity for editing and directing, along with a desire to further explore sound language, led her to film school. Among her works as a director are La Miranda, recuerdos de nuestra casa (2003), 7Històries i 1Ciutat (2009), Kilian Jornet (2013), and Les mans d’Alícia (In-Edit 2017). She is currently preparing her first feature fiction film, Roberto y los comediantes. As an educator, she has taught at UPF and ESCAC and collaborates with the "Cinema en curs" project.
Victor Carrey
Director of 'Los Negativos: Graduados en underground'
Born in Barcelona. Among his works, there’s the short film “La Huida,” which won 80 awards at Spanish and international film festivals. He later received the Canal+ Project in Short award for the screenplay of his second short film, “Poor Sailor,” which garnered a dozen awards at festivals. At the same time, he began shooting music videos and developed a career in advertising that has earned him recognition at festivals such as El Sol, Premios Laus, and Premios EFI. "Los Negativos: Graduados en Underground" is his first documentary.
