Aaron Trinder

DJ, producer, filmmaker and company director at Trinder Films creating short, medium and long form films within documentary, commercials and narrative. He’s won a jury special mention for the short sci fi film “Mr Torquay’s Holiday” commissioned by Film London. For over three years he’s been working on “Free Party: A Folk History” a documentary on the UK’s Free Party Movement in which a new wave of underground rave parties swept the nation from the late 1980s to the early-to-mid 1990s.

Aitor Urbaneja

Director and editor, he studied a Master's Degree in Cinematography Direction at the EFTI school (Madrid). He has directed music videos for artists such as María José Llergo or Alfred, advertising for agencies such as MCCANN and the feature documentary "Desglaç" (Thaw), starring the group XY. He is currently studying screenwriting and works as a freelance director.

Alex Gómez

Born in Caldes de Montbui in 1976, he has worked as a literary editor, has directed, written and produced several recording projects, and has collaborated in radio, press and television. He has also written several books on musical history, especially focusing on popular music during the 1960s and 1970s. In the audiovisual field, he has promoted and directed "L'home Orquestra - L'aventura dels músics catalans a Amèrica" and this year in In-Edit he premieres "Francesc Burrull - Un buit que s'ha d'omplir".

Alex Salgado

Barcelona, 1980. Graduate in Sociology. Professionally, he has worked as a freelance writer of reports and content for publications and brands in various sectors. In 2008 he took a path of no return: what was going to be a biography of DJ Nando Dixkontrol ended up becoming the documentary "Ciudadano Fernando Gallego: Baila o muere", awarded as Best National Documentary at In-Edit, and of which he is the scriptwriter, producer and director.

Compositora, intérprete, directora artística y productora musical nacida en 1957 en el estado de Mato Grosso del Sur (Brasil) en una familia de artistas, los Espíndola. Ha fusionado pop, rock Vanguardia y música tradicional de Brasil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay y Argentina y desde 2016 lidera el grupo de rock corte. Es la protagonista del documental ganador de In-Edit Brasil 2021, “What I’ve Never Lost”.

Àngel Leiro

Co-director of the documentary "L'home dibuixat: una conversa amb Jaume Sisa", he has worked as a producer for Televisión Española and Televisió de Catalunya, where in 1991 he took over the reins of the music programme Sputnik. Since then, he has produced and directed live concerts, video clips and music documentaries. Among the latest are those dedicated to Serrat, Jarabe de Palo, Sopa de Cabra, Els Pets, Raimon, Maria del Mar Bonet and Toti Soler. He has also recently co-directed "Postwar album" about the photojournalist Gervasio Sánchez.

Artur Ratton & Lilka Hara

Brazilian born filmmakers and mixed media artists, located in New York for the past 20 years. Their work range from fiction and non-fiction, searching for new ways to create narratives that will cause a true emotional impact on the audience. Dom Salvador and Abolition, a trancelike artist portrait, was painstakingly constructed during a period of 8 years between NYC, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and finished in 2020 during lockdown.

Carla J. Easton

Scottish singer-songwriter who has collaborated with Belle & Sebastian and BMX Bandits and has toured with artists such as The Vaselines, Camera Obscura and Aidan Moffat. He has just released his fourth electronic pop album with Simon Liddell (Frightened Rabbit) and Johnny Scott (CHVRCHES). She has also co-directed the documentary "Since Yesterday: The Unsung Pioneers of Scottish Pop" which vindicates the role of groups formed by women on the Scottish independent scene.

Cristian Ruíz

Cristian Ruiz

Tafalla, 1997. A graduate of the University of Navarra, he has combined projects such as the short documentary "948243040", about the telephone of hope in Navarra, with incursions into TV scriptwriting and assisting in the direction and scriptwriting of the documentary "SANdEDRO" by Iñaki Arbilla. He is currently the Programming Coordinator of the Punto de Vista Festival and a regular collaborator with the Navarra Film Commission and the Navarra Film Archive. He directed the medium-length film "Kutxi, de Berriozar", about the singer and leader of Marea.

Daniel Cervantes

Filmmaker from Cádiz who in 2014 founded his audiovisual company "Homeless" from which he has made more than 40 short films and two series. His work plays with different expressions, narratives and formats marked by an experimental eagerness. The documentary "Paco Loco: viva el noise" is his first feature film as a director.

Edmon Colomer

Músico y comisario del Año Gerhard, ha sido titular de las orquestas Simfònica de Balears, Simfònica del Vallès, Filarmónica de Málaga, Orchestre de Picardie (Francia), Daejeon Philharmonic (Corea del Sur), y principal director invitado en Eastern Music Festival (EE.UU.). Su catálogo incluye obras Beethoven, Bernstein, Schumann, Gerhard, Txaikovski y Weill, entre muchos otros. Se consideran versiones de referencia “Atlántida” de Falla, “La Pesta” de Gerhard y el “Concierto de Aranjuez” de Rodrigo con Paco de Lucía. Designado “Chevalier dans l’ordre des palmes acadèmiques” en el 2002, actualmente es miembro del Consell Nacional de la Cultura i les Arts.

Emilio Belmonte

Almeria, 1974. He began studying Engineering and Literature in Valencia before settling in France in 1999 and starting to make documentaries, first as a self-taught filmmaker and then as a producer for channels such as France 5, France 3 and ARTE. In 2016 he started shooting a trilogy of feature-length documentaries, "La piedra y el centro", about flamenco and its frontiers. The first volume, the award-winning "Impulso", starred the flamenco dancer Rocío Molina. The second, "Trance", is about the musician Jorge Pardo.

Gael Herrera

Galician-Chilean filmmaker and audiovisual entrepreneur who has spent years working in the world of film, television and entertainment. Creator of original formats for TVG Galicia that have been sold to RAI3, Endemol Shine and the Arab Emirates. She studied in Santiago de Chile and Madrid, and was awarded a scholarship by the Berlinale Talent Campus and the Asian Fim Academy in New Delhi. Together with her brother, she has created Tamboura Films, an audiovisual production company for her own and external projects.

Gonzalo García Pelayo

Prolific music producer in the 60s and 70s (Triana, Burning, Pau Riba, Lole y Manuel, and many others), catalyst of "Andalusian rock" through the Gong label, radio broadcaster, professional casino player and cult film director. In 1978 he directed "Vivir en Sevilla", a film related to the documentary "Nueve Sevillas", which he co-directed and now presents at In-Edit. In it he also plays Juan de Mairena, a character created by Machado, for the simple pleasure of having a green parrot as a scene partner.

Grant C. Dull

Producer, traveller and adventure seeker, Grant C. Dull is the founder of ZZK Records. Since 2008 ha published Latin American artists such as Nicola Cruz, Chancha Via Circuito, La Yegros, Ghetto Kumbe or Son Rompe Pera. As a touring DJ has played all over the world, from Coachella to the Museum of Contemporary Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia. He is the producer of the documentary “Luzmila y los pájaros” on the Bolivian artist Luzmila Carpio.

Jaume Sisa

A "galactic singer-songwriter" and icon of Catalan counterculture, Sisa was born in 1948 in the Poble-sec neighbourhood of Barcelona. Self-taught, he was a member of the Grup de Folk, founded the group Música Dispersa and helped found the Orquesta Plateria from the Sala Zeleste. In 1975 he released "Qualsevol nit pot sortir el sol", an album that formed part of the sentimental education of a whole generation. Later, he would release classics such as "Galeta Galàctica" and "La Catedral", and he would sign the music for the Dagoll Dagom theatre company's shows "Antaviana" and "Nit de Sant Joan". In the mid-1980s he decided to "retire" from the stage and reinvent himself in Madrid as the bolero singer Ricardo Solfa.

Javier Corcuera

Director and screenwriter of documentaries. In 2005 he made the feature film "Winter in Baghdad", produced by Elás Querejeta and awarded at the Malaga Film Festival and the Latin American Film Festival in LA. In 2007 he won a Goya for "Invisibles", a documentary produced by Javier Bardem in which he directed the chapter "La voz de las piedras" about the internal war in Colombia. He then made "Check Point Rock", a look at the occupation of Palestine through its musicians, and won several international awards for "Sigo siendo (Kachkaniraqmi)". For the making of "No somos nada", about Evaristo Páramos and La Polla Records, he has relied on the team that has accompanied him since his beginnings.

Joan Celdrán

Director and audiovisual producer of news, informative and entertainment programmes for Televisió de Catalunya, Televisión Española, Clan TV and La Sexta. His most recent works as a director are the documentaries "L'home dibuixat" (about Jaume Sisa) and "L'últim sopar: retrat íntim de la xef Carme Ruscalleda", as well as several reports for the programme 30 Minuts.

Jorge Cabrera

Musician and actor born in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. As a musician he was the guitarist of the metal band Ktulu between 1988 and 2002. Nominated for Best Actor at the Max Awards and the Actors and Actresses Union for several plays, he also has experience in cinema ("Lucas", "Gente en sitios", "Las consecuencias"), has received awards for Best Actor for the short films "Vampiro" and "Playback" and has worked in series such as "Cuéntame cómo pasó", "El Ministerio del Tiempo" and "Los favoritos de Midas".

Jorge Pardo

Flutist and jazz and flamenco saxophonist with more than 30 years of professional experience. Collaborator with Las Grecas, member of the group Dolores where he coincided with Paco de Lucía and musician in Camarón de la Isla's "La leyenda del tiempo". With his personal fusion of jazz and flamenco and projects such as Vida en catedrales (with Tomás San Miguel), Zebra Coast (with Gil Goldstein), Vientos flamencos (with Carles Benavent and Tino di Geraldo) and Touchstone (with Chick Corea) he has toured festivals and venues on five continents. He is the star of the documentary "Trance".

José carlos De La Isla

Film and television producer born in Seville in 1977 and founding partner of Sarao Films with Paco Ortiz since 2012. As a producer he has produced the fiction feature film "Una vez más" and up to eight documentaries, including "13. Miguel Poveda", "Mujeres de Coque Malla" and "Se prohíbe el cante". He has also made advertising spots, music videos and two of his concert films have been nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards. He visits us as producer of the documentary "Algo salvaje: la historia de Bambino".

JULIAN BRIMMERS

Julian Brimmers

Music journalist, translator and filmmaker from Cologne, Germany. He has collaborated with media such as The Paris Review, Zeit, Spiegel, The Creative Independent, WDR and BBC. His first feature-length music documentary, "We Almost Lost Bochum", was released last year. He has also been working with Kickstarter as a cultural consultant since 2019.

He will lead the In Progress by Kickstarter section on Tuesday 2 November.

Laura Cruells

Catalan singer with advanced training in modern music, she has been part of several projects on the Catalan music scene. She is one of the protagonists of the documentary "Desglaç" as a member of the XY project together with Marçal Ayats.

Laura Put

Barcelona-born and based in Madrid, she has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a degree from the RTVE Institute. As a DJ she was a resident DJ at the Pop Bar in Razzmatazz. As an actress we have seen her in the series "Vergüenza" on Movistar+ and in the webseries "El Piso". She has also been a reporter for the programme Tips on La2 and hosts the podcast "Qué Mujer! She has recently made several music videos and co-directed the medium-length documentary "25".

Laurent Garnier

Techno music producer and DJ originally from Boulogne-Billancourt, France. He started DJing in Manchester in the late 1980s. In the following decade, he experimented with a wide variety of styles: deep house, Detroit techno, trance and nu jazz. His sets are true masterclasses and ceremonies of dance, knowledge and collective euphoria. As stated in the documentary "Laurent Garnier: Off The Record", he is the DJ that all DJs revere.

Marçal Ayats

A classically trained Catalan cellist, in recent years he has explored other registers such as jazz, pop, rock and the world of performance. He has taken part in a large number of national musical projects and is one of the protagonists of the documentary "Desglaç" as a member of the project XY together with the singer Laura Cruells.

Marc Cuscó

Director, photographer, editor and director of photography in video and film, he co-directs the production company Escafior Films, a task he combines with his work as a producer in film and performing arts. He has also taught courses on film fiction and low-budget production at the Universitat de Vic and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He has a degree in Arts and Humanities, Audiovisual Communication and Journalism from the UPF. He is also responsible for the medium-length film "Robert Gerhard i la música vocal d'arrel popular".

Marcia Mansur

Brazilian producer, documentary filmmaker and PhD candidate in Anthropology. Co-founder of the production company Estúdio CRUA, she recently developed artistic residencies at the Museum of Sound and Image (São Paulo) and Lizières (France). She has co-directed the feature film “The Sound of Bells” and produced a number of award winning short documentaries and the full-length film “What I’ve Never Lost” on singer Alzira E, Best Music Documentary at In-Edit Brazil 2021.

Marina Works as a director and researcher for multimedia platforms and experiments with portraits, archives and soundscapes. She is the co-founder of award-winning production company Estúdio CRUA and the director of “What I’ve Never Lost”, Best Music Documentary Film at In-Edit Brasil 2021 on brazilian Singer Alzira E.

Nico Aguerre

With more than 20 years of experience in the audiovisual sector, he has made several award-winning short films such as "Iniciación a la fotografía", "El aviador y el marinero" or "Playback", TV spots and documentaries for film and television. In 2012 he co-founded the documentary theatre production company La Rueda, responsible for projects such as "Que vaya bonito", "Camargate" and "La revelació". He has also made documentaries for VICE International, Movistar + and Vodafone One.

Oscar Sueiro

A film lover born in Barcelona in 1980, he studied at centres such as ITES, IDEP, ECIB and ESCAC. Professionally, he combines his work as Technical Manager at the International University of Catalonia with the audiovisual production of short films, video clips and commercials, as well as teaching film and film language at the Nou Prodigi school. He writes film reviews and essays for El Pájaro Burlón and for publishers such as Applehead and Dilatando Mentes. He is one of the people responsible for the musical documentary project "Maqkina".

Pablo Mensi

Pablo Mensi directs and produces documentaries. With a degree from the University of Buenos Aires and a postgraduate degree from ESCAC, he won an Emmy for the short documentary "Atención! Murderer Next Door", which he produced for the New York Times, and some of his documentaries have been screened at festivals such as BAFICI, Cine Latino de Trieste, Punta del Este, See You Sound and Womex.

Paco Martínez is an Asturian musician and producer known in the world of music as Paco Loco. A crucial figure in the Spanish underground scene of the past 25 years, he has produced around 800 groups and artists, including Sexy Sadie, Australian Blonde, Mikel Erentxun, Nacho Vegas and Enrique Bunbury.

He has also made commercials, video clips and two of his concert DVDs have been nominated for Latin Grammy Awards.

Barcelona, 1977. With a humanistic and cinematographic background, since 2001 he has been linked to the audiovisual world, whether in advertising agencies, production companies, commercials, video clips, documentaries, short films and other fiction formats. Since 2015 he has produced three feature documentaries with the participation of TV3 and RTVE. He combines this with his teaching at ECIB, UAB and LCI, and various projects for institutions and companies.

Pedro G. Romero

Born in Aracena (Huelva) in 1964, he is an artist, exhibition curator, art critic and historian, artistic director of dance and theatre, and now also a film director with the documentary "Nueve Sevillas". His work has been shown in art spaces such as Fundació Antoni Tàpies, CA2M, Museu Picasso, MNCARS and the Venice, Stuttgart and São Paulo Biennials. A great flamenco fan, he is a founding member of pie.flamenca (Independent Platform for Modern and Contemporary Flamenco Studies).

Robie is the stage name of Roberta Nikita, an emerging 25-year-old half-Swedish, half-Spanish artist. Last year she released her debut EP, "Baby", written and produced with beatmakers such as Lemon Boi and the collaboration of Javiera Mena. The creative process of her next EP of more electronic pop, "One Love", with the participation of Putochinomaricon, Javiera Mena and Paco Pil, has been captured in the medium-length documentary "25".

Rut Martínez

Rut Martínez

Journalist and cultural manager, with a degree in Journalism from the UPF and previous studies in music and history. She has worked in organisations such as ESMuC, Taller de Músics, the Fundació CIMA/Centre Internacional de Música Antiga and the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya. She has created Seed Music, a record label, management and integral artistic communication company, dedicated to promoting young artists with international projection. She is also the producer of the medium-length documentary "Robert Gerhard i la música vocal d'arrel popular".

Yuji Morikawa

Filmmaker based in Tokyo. He has been working in the video industry for over 15 years. “Bring Min’yo Back”, on neo-traditionalist band Minyo Crusaders and its fusion of Japanese traditional folk singing and Latin rhythms, is his first documentary feature film.
