In-Edit Festival announces the Winners of its 23rd Edition

The In-Edit Festival closed its 23rd edition with an awards ceremony and the screening of We Want the Funk!. The winning productions were recognized for their narrative strength, originality, and ability to connect with audiences.

The main winners were:

  • Best International Feature Documentary: La 42, by José María Cabral. The jury highlighted its immersion in dembow, the creativity of the neighborhood, and impeccable direction and soundtrack.
  • Best National Feature Documentary: Flores para Antonio, by Isaki Lacuesta and Elena Molina, awarded for its honesty and unfiltered perspective on a healing process.
  • Special Jury Mention: El canto de las manos, by María Valverde.
  • Best International Short Documentary: Lingua Eterna, by Arno Thöni, for its poetic view of the culture and music of two young musicians.
  • Best National Short Documentary: Mariem, by Javier Corcuera, showcasing the beauty that endures despite adversity in the Sahara.

The audience awarded the Audience Award, in colaboration with El Periódico, to El canto de las manos, by María Valverde, as best feature, and The Making of SOMNI, by Jep Jorba, as best short documentary of In-Edit Festival 2025.
