In-Edit Festival is collaborating for the first time with DART, the Barcelona International Film and Art Festival, to continue bringing great stories from the world of music to the public, this time intertwined with the world of art. On 13 and 14 December, it will present Barking in the Dark, by Marie Losier, the film that will close the Dart Festival, which portrays the legendary and iconic band and artistic collective known for their experimental music and multimedia works, The Residents.
Hidden behind masks and iconic costumes, The Residents have spent more than fifty years reinventing American underground music and art. The film introduces us to this mysterious and unclassifiable universe through Homero Flynn, president of The Cryptic Corporation, who shows us the band’s secret archive and shares unexpected and fascinating anecdotes.
Between archive images and memories of the past, an intimate and playful portrait emerges of someone who has never followed the rules and who lives freely within his own creativity. We look forward to seeing you on 13 December to celebrate the closing of the DART Festival, where we will also be able to enjoy a live music selection by artist Jesús Brotons and toast with a Moritz.
