The crossroads of the tragic destinies of jazz icon Billie Holiday and journalist Linda Kuehl, who over the years collected 200 hours of audio from friends and family of “Lady Day.” The discovery of the tapes reveals all the pain that that shocking voice exorcised, as well as her courage in the face of racism against Afro-Americans.
