IN-EDIT TALENT 2023

Workshop on Music Documentary Short Films

If you are between 16 and 25 years old, don’t miss out on our 6th edition of the workshop on creating music documentary short films.

The workshop includes:

  • Training sessions: covering music documentary, scriptwriting, managing music rights in audiovisual content, the audiovisual as a tool for local–global social transformation with a gender and human rights perspective.
  • Filming of the short films: participants will have access to the Cruïlla Festival to shoot two documentary short films about one of the performing bands.
  • The final results will be screened at the upcoming In-Edit Festival.
 
 
Dates
  • July 1st and 2nd: Training sessions (morning schedule)
  • Between July 5th and 8th: Filming at the Cruïlla Festival (The date is to be confirmed, in the afternoon schedule)
  • Between October 25th and November 5th: Exhibition at the In-Edit Festival.

Information about the speakers

Joana Bregolat

Joana Bregolat

Researcher-activist focused on the world of cooperation and global justice. Currently works as a Project Management Technician in the Education for Transformation area at CooperAcció. She is interested in a wide range of topics, from ecofeminism to financial justice, encompassing anything that contributes to advancing towards a future and transitions to dignified lives worth living.

Maria Castellví

Maria Castellví

Researcher and professor from Barcelona, affiliated with the Department of Communication at Pompeu Fabra University. She also serves as the director of Reteena, a youth audiovisual culture festival in Barcelona. She is currently conducting her doctoral thesis on hegemonic femininity in TikTok. Her research interests include popular culture, creative industries, and gender studies.

Cristina Madrid

Cristina Madrid

Graduate in Audiovisual Media and a student in the Cultural Management Master's program at the University of Barcelona. In 2019, she directed her debut film "Les Resilients," which won an award at the In-Edit Festival. The documentary focuses on the feminist music scene and features Clara Peya, The Sey Sisters, Tribade, and Roba Estesa. She has worked as a production manager for documentaries such as "Peiró42" (2017), "Josep Palau i Fabre. Retrat cubista" (2018), and "Tarradellas, Govern d'unitat" (2022), the latter of which won the ProDocs Award for Best TV Documentary.

Toni L. Querol

Toni L. Querol

Journalist, editor and cultural manager. Coordinator of the artistic department of the IN-EDIT music documentary festival in Barcelona. Communication manager of the Eufònic sound and digital performing arts festival in Terres de l'Ebre (2023 Catalan Culture Award). Formerly director of the Spanish edition of Vice Magazine and Què Fem? (weekly cultural supplement of the newspaper La Vanguardia).

Raúl Marín

Raúl Marín

Raúl Marín is the director of creatiBEty, a representation agency and creative consultancy. He is a manager and lawyer with over twenty years of experience representing artists. Specialized in intellectual property, brands, and business in the creative world, he also consults for advertising agencies, media outlets, publishers, festivals, and other companies and public entities related to culture, art, and entertainment. In addition to his professional work, he is a registered lawyer in ICAB and CCBE and a member of the Board of Directors of AGPC (Association of Cultural Management Professionals of Catalonia).
