TALKS

Masterclass de Julien Temple

A living legend of the music documentary genre, English filmmaker Julien Temple has directed films about the Sex Pistols, The Clash, Marvin Gaye, The Rolling Stones, and Wilco Johnson, as well as music videos for David Bowie, Neil Young, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, and Blur, to name just a few.

At In-Edit 2024, he will offer a class on “Editing Archival Footage for Music Documentaries,” a visual and narrative resource in which he excels. One of the hallmarks of his personal style is his imaginative, sharp, and often unexpected mosaics of archival images that create multiple interpretations, always telling much more than the sum of their parts.

Music Makers

Presentation of three episodes from the new 12-part documentary series ‘Music Makers,’ about some of the most relevant national and international producers and composers, which will soon be available on the Caixaforum+ platform.

A Vampire Films project for the cultural platform, directed by Ester G. Mera, with executive production by Ivó Vinuesa and Alex Julià.

After the screening, we will be joined by the stars of the show: London-based Danny L Harle (who has worked with Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek, and Nile Rodgers), Catalan producer Alizzz (collaborator of C. Tangana, Amaia, Javiera Mena, and Rosalía), and Galician DJ and electronic composer Cora Novoa, based in Barcelona. The three artists will share their vision and experience, both in their personal projects and collaborations with other artists, within the current music production landscape.
