A chronicle of the origins of rock music in the industrial outskirts of Sabadell during the 1960s. Guided by the perspective of Franc Guardia—musician and son of one of the Los Watts’ members—the film reconstructs the atypical saga of a group of youths who symbolically sold their bones to buy instruments and fund their dream amid a period of cultural effervescence, despite the social restrictions of the dictatorship. Beyond portraying a city in transformation and their youth adventures in Mallorca, the movie is a beautiful anthropological exercise in collective memory and generational transmission. Confronting the loss of memory imposed by Alzheimer’s on the narrator’s father, the film eschews nostalgia and turns music into a tool of filial love against oblivion.
