Scope of Application

This Privacy Policy applies to all festivals, events, activities, and websites organized by Athletic Promotions 2005 S.L. (hereinafter, BIG STORIES), including, but not limited to, the following festivals: In-Edit, Moritz Feed Doc, Dart, Tàctica, Roca Awards, as well as any other festivals or cultural projects that the entity may organize in the future.

IN-EDIT is the entity responsible for processing personal data collected through its forms, ticketing platforms, newsletters, and other channels associated with its festivals and activities.

Personal Data We Process

We may process the following categories of personal data:

  • Identification data: first name and last name.
  • Contact data: email address.
  • Basic sociodemographic data: postal code, year of birth.
  • Purchase data: information regarding the acquisition of tickets for festivals organized by IN-EDIT.
  • Communication preferences: festivals of interest, newsletter subscriptions.
  • Electronic communication usage data: email open rates and click-through metrics.

Special categories of personal data (sensitive data) are not processed.

Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis

a) Management of Ticket Purchases and Events

  • Processing ticket sales.
  • Managing access and the organization of the festivals.
  • Sending practical information related to the specific festival or event (schedules, venues, incidents, or programming changes).
  • Sending post-event communications (thank-you messages, satisfaction surveys).

Legal Basis: Execution of a contract to which the data subject is a party.

b) Sending Informational Communications Related to a Specific Festival

When a person has purchased tickets for a specific festival or event, IN-EDIT may send communications strictly related to that festival or event.

Legal Basis: Legitimate interest of the entity to keep the attendee informed about the contracted event.

c) Sending Newsletters and Organizational Promotional Communications

Includes sending periodic newsletters, information about upcoming festivals, activities, or events organized by BIG STORIES, as well as cultural and promotional communications related to any of the entity’s festivals.

Legal Basis: Express consent of the user, granted through specific forms and non-pre-ticked boxes.

d) Basic Segmentation of Communications

IN-EDIT may use basic data such as postal code, year of birth, and interactions with electronic communications to analyze festival audiences in an aggregated manner and send more relevant communications based on general interests.

This processing does not involve automated decisions with legal effects or advanced profiling.

Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in improving the entity’s communications.

Tools and Data Processors

For database management and the sending of electronic communications and newsletters, IN-EDIT uses third-party technology platforms acting as data processors, including Tekneaudience, as well as ticketing platforms (Codetickets).

These entities process personal data strictly following IN-EDIT’ instructions and in accordance with data processing agreements formalised pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR.

Data Recipients

Personal data will not be transferred to third parties, except:

  • Under a legal obligation.
  • To suppliers acting as data processors necessary for festival management (ticketing, communication mailings, technology services).

Under no circumstances will data be sold or transferred for commercial purposes unrelated to IN-EDIT.

Data Retention

Personal data will be retained as follows:

  • Ticket purchase data: for the duration of the contractual relationship and subsequently blocked during the periods required by tax and accounting regulations.
  • Newsletter and promotional communication data: for as long as the user maintains their consent or until they request to unsubscribe.

Once the applicable retention periods expire, the data will be deleted or anonymized.

Rights of Users

Data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and data portability by sending a request to info@in-edit.org, specifying the right they wish to exercise and providing proof of their identity.

Withdrawal of Consent and Unsubscribing

Users may withdraw their consent to receive newsletters or promotional communications at any time:

  • Via the unsubscribe link or preference center included in every email.
  • By contacting info@in-edit.org via email.

The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Data Security

IN-EDIT applies the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data and to prevent its alteration, loss, or unauthorized access.

Amendments to the Privacy Policy

IN-EDIT reserves the right to modify this privacy policy to adapt it to regulatory changes or new activities. Updated versions will be available on the official festival websites.
