INTERNATIONAL PANORAMA

The triumphant return to the stage of one of British pop’s most unique and iconic bands. Narrated by the unmistakable voice of Jarvis Cocker, the film combines the energy of their concerts last year at London’s O2 with four decades of unreleased archival footage. A journey through the atypical path that took a group of misfits from Sheffield and turned them into icons of popular culture. Featuring a setlist where new compositions fit seamlessly alongside anthems like “Disco 2000” and “Common People,” it celebrates the absolute bond between band and audience, as well as the sharp wit, sarcastic humor, and social empathy of these chroniclers of everyday life who continue to resonate across generations. At its climax, it feels like a giant version of karaoke night in a pub—and that is naturally the point.

Cast: Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Nick Banks, Mark Webber.
