The noise-pop of the ‘90s can’t be fully understood without Dinosaur Jr’s wall of sound. Co-produced by the band, the documentary goes album by album through 30-odd years of “blood, sweat and tears” by a “psychotic family” that only knew how to communicate on stage, under the leadership of the obsessive and comically taciturn J Mascis.
