The comedy duo of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong—countercultural icons of the 1970s and pioneers of stoner comedy—hit the road again in this vibrant film. Interviews, archival footage from their wild stand-up beginnings, animations, and road trip sequences retrace outrageous memories and candid reflections. From their early club shows in Vancouver and L.A., to box-office hits like Up in Smoke, their albums, the stage show Hard Rock Comedy, and sharing the stage with Ray Charles, The Delfonics, and The Rolling Stones, the documentary doesn’t shy away from conflicts or bitter breakups. The result is a mix of nostalgia, cultural critique, couples therapy, and edible humor.
