Pavel Cortés
Director of Programming at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) and founder and director of Premio Maguey, a competitive section dedicated to international queer cinema. He holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies from the University of Guadalajara, specializing in Screenwriting, and has trained at EICTV and in Robert McKee’s seminars. He has served as an international jury member at festivals including the Berlinale, San Sebastián Film Festival, Cork Film Festival, Raindance and Adelaide, among others.

Davide Mastropaolo
Naples-based audiovisual producer and member of Audioimage, an independent company specializing in documentaries and auteur cinema. Trained as a pianist and composer, he holds a Master’s degree in Soundtrack Production from Bournemouth University and has developed his career across film and music, combining production with work as a composer, technician and sound designer. His credits include James, a documentary about musician James Senese, selected for the Giornate degli Autori at the Venice Film Festival.

Amanda Sans
British-Spanish director and screenwriter specializing in documentary film and non-fiction series. She made her feature debut with Songs of Redemption, selected at more than thirty international festivals. In 2023, she was part of the directing team of Home (Apple TV+), which received a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Nonfiction Program. Her latest work, Miss Jobson, premiered in the Official Selection of PÖFF Tallinn and was subsequently screened at festivals including Málaga and BAFICI. She is currently developing her first fiction feature.

NATIONAL JURY

Elena Molina
Madrid-born director and screenwriter whose work focuses mainly on non-fiction, with an intimate, political and gender-conscious perspective. She has directed six documentary shorts and the feature films Rêve de Mousse, Remember My Name and Flores para Antonio, co-directed with Isaki Lacuesta and premiered in the Official Selection of the San Sebastián Film Festival. The film received the Best National Music Documentary Feature Award at IN-EDIT and the Forqué Award for Best Documentary Feature. She has also directed the documentary series El robo del códice, La mano en el fuego and La Chaparra.

Xavier Cervantes
Journalist and Head of Culture at the newspaper ARA since 2022. Born in Barcelona in 1966, he began writing about music in 1990 for specialist magazines and went on to become editorial coordinator at Rockdelux and editor-in-chief of Time Out Barcelona. He has been part of the ARA editorial team since 2012, where he previously served as Deputy Head of Culture. He has written about bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sepultura and Mano Negra, and has contributed to publications and events focused on contemporary music, festivals and the music industry.

Elena Oroz
PhD in Communication and professor in the Department of Communication at Carlos III University of Madrid, where she is a member of the TECMERIN research group and the Spanish Film Institute. Her research focuses on documentary film, Spanish cinema and gender studies. She is the author of more than twenty academic articles and book chapters and co-editor of publications such as Lo personal es político. Documental y Feminismo. She has also participated in film programming and curatorial projects, including those at Punto de Vista Festival and the Spanish Film Archive.
INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL SHORT FILM JURY

Joan Rial
Director of the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic and General Coordinator of the Vida Festival. He holds a degree in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona and a postgraduate degree in Music Industry Management from Pompeu Fabra University, and has developed his career in cultural management and production. He has been involved in festivals such as Foramuralla and Cantilafont and was a founding member of the band Est Oest. He has also worked on projects related to communication and the development of independent music.

Borja Prieto / Natalia Flores
Borja Prieto and Natalia Flores are communications professionals with a background in the music industry and marketing. After working at companies such as Universal, Virgin and EMI, they founded the creative agency Está Pasando, where they have developed campaigns for brands including Netflix, Spotify and YouTube, and artists such as C. Tangana, Nathy Peluso and Carolina Durante. As Los Prieto Flores, they have also created content about music and popular culture across radio, podcast and YouTube formats. Their work has received a GOAT Award at the TikTok Awards and a bronze award at the Club de Creativos Festival.

Ana Pfaff
Editor, teacher and filmmaker born in Barcelona. She graduated in Film Editing from ESCAC and studied film at Pompeu Fabra University. She has worked on films such as Summer 1993 and Alcarràs, both by Carla Simón, as well as on works by filmmakers including Meritxell Colell, Carolina Astudillo and Adrián Orr. Her work has been recognized with two Gaudí Awards for Best Editing and several Goya Award nominations. She combines her work as an editor with teaching at institutions including UPF, ESCAC and EICTV, and is a member of the Dostopos collective with Ariadna Ribas.
APOLO BEST MUSIC VIDEO AWARD JURY

Alberto Guijarro
A key figure in Barcelona's music industry and one of its main cultural driving forces. For over two decades, he served as co-director of Primavera Sound, driving its growth into a global benchmark, in addition to managing the Sala Apolo.

Laura Sangrà
Cultural journalist and TV presenter. She currently works at betevé, where she hosts two weekly shows: the cultural news magazine La Brama and Un Pla Perfecte, a show covering film and series premieres.
