From the afro-rock of his group Kongas to the explosive impact of anthems like “Love in C Minor” or “Supernature”—and legendary nights at Studio 54 alongside Grace Jones and Andy Warhol—this documentary charts the unconventional trajectory of an indomitable visionary. Scorned by critics at the time yet revered in the underground, the film is a bright, hedonistic celebration of Europe’s most influential disco artist (besides Giorgio Moroder): an iconoclast who laid the foundations for the “French Touch” and modern electronic dance music.
