A sensory immersion into the universe of Jocy de Oliveira, a pioneer of electronic music and the artistic avant-garde in Brazil. On the verge of turning 90, the composer revisits seven decades of ceaseless experimentation. Through her own voice and a valuable archival collection of scores, photographs, and correspondence with titans like Stravinsky, Cage, Stockhausen, Berio, and Xenakis, the film builds a non-chronological, fragmented, and circular narrative. The transition from a child prodigy pianist to a total creator of experimental operas and multimedia pieces—where the female voice becomes a poetic and political territory—also offers a profound reflection on the passage of time, love, and the permanence of the creative gesture.
