How do you capture the essence of a woman who has changed the rules of art? How do you construct the cinematographic narrative of icons that everyone thinks they know, or of key figures that history has unjustly left in the shadows?

A conversation about the challenges, the responsibility, and the magic of bringing the lives of great female artists to the screen. Guided by two filmmakers from this year’s line-up, we will explore the dialogue between massive notoriety and cult recognition.

On the one hand, director Lorna Tucker brings her critical, unfiltered gaze to deconstruct and humanize the portraits of figures as diverse and universal as pianist Yuja Wang, punk icon Vivienne Westwood, or cinema legends like Greta Garbo and Katharine Hepburn.

On the other hand, Dácio Pinheiro, winner of the last edition of In-Edit Brasil, who has reclaimed the legacy of globally renowned cult Brazilian artists such as pianist and multimedia artist Jocy De Oliveira or photographer and filmmaker Lenita Perroy.
