Since the 1980s, the couple has won over millions of listeners around the globe with an upbeat, instantly recognizable sound that transcends the social turmoil that has often shaken their native country. The camera follows them as they prepare their latest album (making a stop in Barcelona) and a major homecoming concert in Mali. Their recent songs, true anthems for the disenfranchised, convey a message of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. And this film celebrates the power of music to spread joy and unite cultures in a chaotic world.
