Carla Simón offers a contemporary take on the flamenco musical genre. Starring dancer and choreographer Rocío Molina, the short film explores the tension between inherited legacy and creative freedom, weaving together tradition, television and film archival footage—such as the voice of Carmen Amaya or excerpts from Nadia Werba’s short Maestros del duende—and the vibrant current scene. It succeeds in capturing the nature of a living art form, where the boundaries between ancestral heritage, modernity, and experimentation remain in constant motion. A unique opportunity to experience it on the big screen following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival’s Marché du Film.

After touring the globe and leaving an indelible mark on the independent circuit, the Andalusian band La URSS faces the challenge of creating a new album in an intimate and tempestuous process where pressure, the search for identity, and the need for reinvention collide without filters. The camera observes the fragility of silences, the camaraderie of conversations, and everyday gestures amid noise, tattoos, and beer with raw, honest intimacy.

This is an intimate portrait of Markus, a man in his sixties, at a turning point in life where he must navigate the gulf between who he wanted to be and who he actually became. Markus drifts between fantasy and reality, scraping by as best he can while trying to make sense of the passage of time and the compromises along the way.

Peppers nightclub in Palma de Mallorca and the heartbeat of a society on the verge of awakening. Nearly sixty years later, an investigation through testimonies, photographs, and memories reconstructs a legend that goes far beyond that object—it speaks of memory, youth, and a moment when Mallorca was beginning to open up to the world.

This short film revisits the public spaces of Barcelona where music was performed in the 18th century. Set to a repertoire of musical pieces from that era, the visual focus jumps from one location to another, mapping out a musical geography that travels between past and present. The field of view gradually expands, capturing the sensation of encountering a space for the very first time through images shot from unprecedented and hard-to-access perspectives. Produced in collaboration with the 575th anniversary of the University of Barcelona and the exhibition “Cap dia sense música” (Not a Day Without Music).
