Composer, performer, and producer Andrés Godoy is no ordinary musician; his guitar-playing style is truly magical and seemingly technically impossible. At the age of 14, he lost his right arm in a workplace accident. Against all odds, he overcame frustration and pain, persevering in his love for music. He practised tirelessly, studied the styles of his idols (Fripp, Gismonti, Towner), joined well-known duos and bands (such as Los Cráneos, Andrés, Ernesto and Alejaica), and developed a unique worldwide technique called “tatap.” This epic and spellbinding tale of loss skilfully intertwines the personal journey with the highs and lows of Chile’s history.
