What meaning does success hold when the person who loves you most starts to forget you? This is the devastating question raised by this visceral, moving portrait of actor Elio Toffana, a key figure in Spanish rap, as his grandmother Tina faces the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Set between the streets of Aluche (Madrid) and Barcelona, the film weaves together the creative pressure of a new album with the painful certainty of a fading memory. Enveloped by Alberto de Miguel’s evocative soundtrack and a rich mosaic of testimonies, it transcends musical chronicle to become a high-emotion cinematic poem that transforms grief into hip-hop and calls for empathy at a time when collective memory seems to be slipping away.
Cast: Elio Toffana, Tina, Las Ninyas del Corro, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, Natos y Waor, Juan Dávila, Recycled J., Govea, El Langui, Okuda San Miguel, Emilio Delgado, Aaron Piper.
