Valuable archival footage from the years of Salvador Allende’s government (1970-1973) and interviews with protagonists of the so-called Nueva Canción Chilena—musicians who were part of historic groups such as Quilapayún, Inti-Illimani and Los Jaivas, among others—provide a glimpse into the commitment of Chilean music half a century ago, as well as its traumatic end with the military coup. Poetry, message, and the search for an unrepeatable moment.
