This stunning journey through the memory and present of one of the oldest popular musical expressions on the Iberian Peninsula travels across the lands of Huelva, a province that has safeguarded the traditional fandango. Through intense musical performances and rich conversations between different generations of experts, artists, and local residents, it explores the evolution of a song form that, despite having once been considered “minor,” became established as a fundamental palo of flamenco. Contemporary voices—especially those of women renewing the genre—project into the future a legacy that artists like Paco Toronjo elevated to a symbol of cultural identity.
