An immersion into the powerful urban music and subculture of Senegal, particularly in the capital city, Dakar. A collaboration between Senegalese pop star Leuz Diwane G and Italian rapper F.U.L.A (who visits his family’s homeland for the first time) serves as the starting point for a journey where musicians, producers, graffiti artists, dancers, and activists of various generations fiercely defend their vision of hip-hop culture as a space of real opportunities for young people and as a tool for political awareness: shifting from chasing “the European dream” to “feed the African hope.”
