A story of Romani rebellion through dance—and one of the most significant episodes of cultural resistance during the Spanish Transition. Exactly half a century ago, in 1976, writer José Heredia and dancer Mario Maya joined forces to defy regime censorship and the historical marginalization of the Romani people through a revolutionary stage project that reclaimed voice, art, and dignity through the body and flamenco. Straddling journalistic investigation and video creation, the film does not merely record this past milestone; it revitalizes its nonconformist spirit. Offering an aesthetic, ethical, and emotional dialogue of great visual poetry, it illustrates how dance can be transformed into an instrument of social critique and freedom.
