A portrait of Nicaraguan musician Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy, who, from his second exile in Costa Rica, reflects on his trajectory as an emblematic voice of the Sandinista revolution. Facing the current regime’s dictatorial drift, which persecutes those who once fought for freedom, the singer-songwriter prepares to celebrate six decades of his artistic career. He organizes a major concert in San José, Costa Rica, and embarks on a tour across Spain to lift the spirits of the exiled Nicaraguan community, accompanied by La Cuneta Son Machín—a band led by his exiled nephews. Beyond a tour diary, the film captures encounters with a militant community that keeps the protest against repression alive, connecting the historical memory of the 1980s with the voices of young creators in Barcelona and San José.
