NATIONAL OFFICIAL SECTION
The beautiful and moving love story of Mariluz Roldán and Antonio Castro, two people with intellectual disabilities who met at a pioneering center in Cabra, Córdoba. Their relationship defied the stigmas and marginalization they faced in late-1970s Spain and inspired singer-songwriter Víctor Manuel’s famous song “Solo pienso en ti”, which became an anthem of inclusion and love. The film intertwines their story with Víctor Manuel’s personal and artistic journey at the time, featuring testimonies from figures such as Antonio Resines, Joan Manuel Serrat, and Joaquín Sabina. It contextualizes the huge social impact of the song and reflects on the ongoing struggle for the dignity of people with disabilities.
