A portrait of Wizkid, one of the most influential and commercially successful African artists in history. The film is structured around the months leading up to Wizkid’s concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Combining intimate moments with the Nigerian artist, powerful live performances, and sociocultural analysis, the documentary chronicles his meteoric rise from the streets of Lagos to becoming a global icon of the Afrobeats phenomenon. Beyond the journey to superstardom, the work examines how contemporary African music and art can transform global perceptions, challenge deep-seated stereotypes in Western media, and restore a sense of identity and pride to African culture and its diaspora.
