On February 26, the CaixaForum+ platform will premiere the documentary Omega Wants to Dance, a feature-length film directed by Ramon Tort and produced by In-Edit Films, with associate production by CaixaForum+ and Konga Music Agency.
The film explores the relationship between human beings and movement, delving into consciousness from a global perspective. Through personal testimonies, historical events, fiction, and an audiovisual collage, the documentary examines the many dimensions of dancing, including entertainment, ritual, seduction, and catharsis.
Following its international run, the film has been selected at prestigious festivals such as DOC NYC (Kaleidoscope Competition), the UK’s Portobello Film Festival, and the Parma International Music Film Festival in Italy. It was recently awarded the Excellent Award in the ARTE Docs selection at the EIDF (EBS International Documentary Festival) in Seoul.
