The In-Edit Festival reaffirms itself as a benchmark showcase for Catalan audiovisual arts by increasing, for yet another edition, the presence of local productions in its lineup. As a first preview of this year’s program, the festival confirms the screening of two Catalan productions.
Carla Simón’s debut in musical cinema
Carla Simón will present Flamenco, her debut in the musical genre, on the big screen. Starring the bailaora (flamenco dancer) and choreographer Rocío Molina, this short film places the body and dance at the center of memory and transformation. The work revisits flamenco from a contemporary perspective and explores the tension between cultural heritage and creative freedom, connecting tradition, archival footage, and the current scene.

Catalan premiere of Albert Serra’s new work
For his part, Albert Serra will present the Catalan premiere of Seize moments de ma vie. The documentary is an approach to the figure of the German actress and singer Ingrid Caven, a diva of the European avant-garde and collaborator of Rainer Werner Fassbinder. The piece captures the concert held at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, where Caven interprets sixteen moments of her life accompanied by members of the Banyoles experimental group Molforts.
