The call for entries for Acció>Cinema is now open!

For the fourth consecutive year, the In-Edit Festival is taking part in Acció>Cinema, an initiative that promotes audiovisual media as a tool for social transformation and the defense of human rights. This year, the project is launching a call for young people interested in music, film/audiovisual arts, and global cultures to join a creative workshop aimed at documenting the session, which explores music as a space for memory, identity, and resistance.

This intercultural, critical, and participatory space connects local communities, Afro-descendant collectives, and youth to articulate a decolonial perspective on music as a driver of change. In this edition, the project focuses on Nigeria and the globalization of its musical heritage.

If you are between 16 and 25 years old, join the call to be part of the creative team that will film and document the activity and its key figures (musicians, activists, filmmakers…). The call for applications is open from September 1 to 15, and spots are limited. The activity is free of charge (registration required) and consists of a training session followed by a shoot during the In-Edit Festival.

An initiative driven by Catalunya Film Festivals in collaboration with the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation, the Department of Culture, Reteena Festival, and Wallay! Festival.
